Terrigal Haven Sup Classic – Results
With $5000 in CASH PRIZE MONEY & Proceeds supporting the White Ribbon organisation.

• 11.25 km Down Winder ~ Terrigal / Toowoon Bay
• Inflatable BOP Race
Set over 2 Days – April 2nd & 3rd 2016 At the Haven, Terrigal, NSW, Australia.
We had a fantastic two days on the Central Coast, with a great turn out of paddlers for the Inaugural Terrigal Haven SUP Classic.
A MASSIVE Congratulations has to go out to all our helpers, supporters and all of the families that showed up to support the paddlers. This weekend marked the 1st of what will surely grow into one of the best events on the Australian Paddling contest circuit over time. With such a great natural location for course racing at the Terrigal Haven and with more competitors and support, things are going to get exciting!
Showing amazing form and dominance was Queenslands Michael Booth followed closely by Sydney’s James Casey and the local lad Toby Cracknell who placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectfully in both the 10km course race and the 11.25km downwinder. Local girl Terrene Black showed her dominance of Australian paddle boarding once more taking out the Womens division in both races also.
The Saturday was the pick of the weather with a light Northerly breeze across the course races allowing trim speed, bouy turning technique and raw paddling power to play significantly in the course racing. It was impressive to watch as Michael Booth pulled out in front by a massive 1.45min at the end, A massive effort by the victor.
Sunday was pegged for the Downwinder with a strong south easterly wind gusting onto the coast making for some of the trickiest conditions for downwinders that the competitors have dealt with. With the rebounding swell of the coast and a choppy ocean swell it was challenging to say the very least.

WOMENS DIVISONS – Open Womens, Womens 40+, Womens Under 18’s.
